Suffer Up Podcast
Welcome to the Suffer Up podcast, and thank you for viewing our page! We are Nate and Ryan, who both have spent our lives doing hard things to challenge ourselves and help others. Our mission is to encourage and lead others to suffer with a purpose. We strive to help others level up in life with an emphasis on spiritual, mental and physical wellbeing. Our goal is to deliver consistent, quality content related to those three pillars. Nate is a Firefighter Paramedic with over 10 years of related experience in public safety. He enjoys the great outdoors including hunting, fishing, running, and working out. He is a follower of Christ, husband, father, co-worker, and church member who has a passion to share his story and motivate others to be the best version of themselves as possible. Several years back, Nate suffered from a lot of work-related trauma that he openly shares in this podcast, and how he overcame those challenges. Nate has a passion to help others in this area as he continues to challenge himself in the three pillars here at Suffer UP. Ryan is a former US Navy Aviation Rescue Swimmer of 8 years and now owns an excavation and landscaping company. He is a follower of Christ, a devoted husband, and a loving father who enjoys swimming, running, hiking, and anything outdoors. Ryan has always felt called to help others and has a passion for teaching. He hopes to use his gifts and experiences to encourage others to suffer with a purpose and overcome life’s challenges.

EP#41 ADHD in Children, Are we missing the point?
PUNCHOUT ULTRA AND SUFFER UP
On this episode of the Suffer Up Podcast, we share our thoughts on those hyperactive children we all know and love. Is ADHD a real thing, or are we missing the point? Can we manage ADHD and ADD correctly and use it for good. We are NOT medical professionals by any means, however this recording captures our observations and the behaviors we have seen in children who may just be “hyperactive”. Today’s society is not conducive for those busy bodies at times, so we feel it important to do some self reflection as we lead and raise this next generation. We hope this episode opens the dialogue for others to be aware of children who are so quickly medicated and simply put–misunderstood.

SUFFER UP RACE AND INFO
On this episode of the Suffer Up Podcast, we sit down with Ryan Harris, a U.S. Navy Senior Chief, to talk about what it truly means to get to work for God. Ryan shares powerful insights on faith in action, including the idea of “waking up next to a shovel”—being ready to dig in and do the work God puts in front of you.
Taking action is a central theme of this conversation, especially when it comes to living out your faith with intention. Ryan recently launched a Substack called Operation Mustard Seed, where he shares devotional reflections rooted in discipline, humility, and growth. Writing is nothing new for him—he previously served as a columnist for a local newspaper and now continues that passion through this new platform.
Beyond writing, Ryan remains active in service to the U.S. Navy and leads a discipleship group called Sharpen the Point. He also breaks down the impact of the F3 program, built on the pillars of Faith, Family, and Fitness, and how it helps men lead stronger, more purpose-driven lives.
This is a conversation about faith, service, discipline, and taking responsibility for the work set before you—you won’t want to miss it.
